The Feathers Hotel in Burnside is seeking a talented and creative Functions Chef with a passion for producing high-quality canapés and event menus. If you have at least three years of experience in function or banquet-style cooking and a flair for presentation, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re a highly function-focused venue with an outstanding reputation for delivering premium events and exceptional food. From elegant weddings to corporate celebrations, you’ll play a key role in making every occasion unforgettable.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Work closely with our Functions Manager and Head Chef to plan, prepare, and deliver outstanding function menus and canapés

• Maintain high presentation standards and consistency across all dishes

• Ensure all food safety and hygiene procedures are met

• Bring fresh ideas and creativity to our function offering

ABOUT YOU

• Qualified chef with at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role

• Strong understanding of function and canapé preparation for high-volume events

• Excellent attention to detail, plating, and presentation

• Positive, collaborative attitude with the ability to work under pressure

• Reliable and flexible with working hours, including nights and weekends
