📌 About the Role – Duty Manager (Adelaide | Walkerville)

We are seeking a vibrant, confident, and motivated Duty Manager to join our Sussex Hotel team.
This role is offered on a casual basis (20–30 hours per week) with a rotating 7-day roster, including nights and weekends.

You will:

• Deliver outstanding customer service across bar, bistro, and gaming
• Lead and support the team during service
• Maintain compliance with all liquor, gaming and WHS requirements
• Ensure accuracy in cash handling, procedures, and reporting
• Help create the warm, welcoming environment Sussex is known for

👤 About You – What You Bring

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Minimum 2 years’ hospitality experience (supervisory preferred)
• Gaming experience (essential)
• Strong knowledge of SA liquor legislation
• A friendly, approachable and professional demeanour
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure
• Trustworthy, organised and confident in leading shifts

Essential Qualifications:

• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
• Responsible Person Badge (or willingness to obtain)
• Basic Gaming + Advanced Gaming Certificates
• TAB experience (advantage but not essential)

Additional Skills:

• Accurate cash handling
• Understanding of food safety & WHS requirements
• Basic food-handling experience
