About the Role – Casual Chef / Cook

You’ll work alongside the Head Chef and kitchen team to deliver high-quality pub classics and modern Australian dishes for locals and visitors to the Clare Valley.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing and cooking meals to a consistent, high standard
• Working across service periods, including lunch and dinner
• Maintaining food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards
• Managing prep, portion control, and minimising food waste
• Contributing positively to a busy, team-focused kitchen environment

About You

You’re reliable, positive, and confident working in a commercial kitchen.

We’re looking for someone who has:

• Experience as a Cook, Commis Chef, or Chef de Partie (minimum 2–3 years preferred)
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (preferred but not essential)
• Strong food safety and allergen awareness
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Calm, organised approach during busy services
• Genuine passion for quality food and customer experience

Availability Requirements

• Flexible availability across a rotating 7-day roster
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
