About the Role

We are searching for an experienced Casual Chef or Cook to join our kitchen team on a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends and holiday periods. You’ll be creating honest, quality pub-style meals with flair, while contributing to a positive and professional team culture.

Reporting to the Head Chef, you will play an integral role in delivering a consistent, high-quality dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present dishes with accuracy, pride, and passion

• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to maintain high standards

• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and WHS regulations

• Contribute creative ideas to menu development

• Manage portion control, minimise waste, and support stock control

• Maintain a premium, consistent standard of food quality and service

About You

You thrive in a fast-paced kitchen and enjoy working as part of a supportive, diverse team. You’re motivated, reliable, and bring a positive can-do attitude.

You’ll Bring:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar Chef or Cook role

• Cooking qualifications (highly desirable but not essential)

• Strong knowledge of modern pub food, contemporary trends, and culinary techniques

• Excellent understanding of food quality, sanitation, cost control, and presentation

• Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage deadlines

• Strong communication skills with colleagues, suppliers, and management

• Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment
