Are you an experienced cleaner who takes pride in creating spotless, welcoming spaces? The Eyre Hotel in Whyalla, South Australia, is looking for a dedicated and reliable Hotel Cleaner to help maintain our freshly renovated hotel.

This casual role offers 15 to 25 hours per week, with part-time hours negotiable for the right candidate.

About the Role

As a Hotel Cleaner, you’ll be responsible for keeping our guest areas, and public spaces pristine. You’ll start your shifts early in the morning, around 6am, helping us ensure our guests start their day with a clean and comfortable environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean hotel rooms, bathrooms, and common areas to a high standard

• Restock guest room supplies and arrange rooms according to the layout

• Clean and disinfect public restrooms and back-of-house areas

• Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and efficiently

• Carry out laundry tasks, including washing, drying, and folding hotel linen

• Report maintenance issues or supply shortages to management

• Follow safety procedures, including appropriate lifting and chemical handling

• Respect guest privacy and uphold the security of guests

• Complete the housekeeping checklist as directed by management

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a cleaner in accommodation or hotel settings

• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work

• Confidence in using cleaning equipment and chemicals correctly

• Ability to manage your time and work efficiently without supervision

• Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

• Working knowledge of safety and hygiene practices

• Ability to read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)

Location & Hours

• Located at the Eyre Hotel in Whyalla, SA 5600

• Early morning shifts with 6am starts Monday to Thursday 

• Flexible 15–25 hours per week, with potential for part-time
